Our goal is to open and operate African Soul, a small take-away and dine-in restaurant that is family run, in Chicago IL, Our restaurant will be unique in that we will be the only restaurant of its kind. To sell an African Experience with a great African dish .We aim to create an entirely incredible African and Tribal experience of and foodservice business.

The vegetarian foodservice market is changing. Health conscious diners are seeking mainstream options in healthy variations, and expecting the same (or better) flavors. We’ve found from running a pop-up food stall at the Journey Market for the last 4 months that by using our skills as chefs and our passion for sustainable food, we can create delicious take-away meals that are above par in flavor and nutrition.

Eric Parker is a health care professional , with a varied culinary background. He began his career cooking/catering for many events and gathering at the age of 15, after learning marketing and sells through various seminars and life lesson he developed a passion for healthier and taste a combination that is lacking in the food industry today. He worked in customer service for the next 7 years mastering the ability to understand peoples needs, health needs and give an amazing culture experience. After take a trip to Ghana Eric realized a critical missing piece to African American community. He learned about a past down family recipe perfected and created his own  and chose to pursue restaurant management. He has 7 years of experience running and managing. That makes A unique balance in Service restaurants in Chicago.
